# Playoff Picture: Championship Sunday

Here's a look at the matchups for Sunday's football championship games, and each team's title-game history.

All three games will be played at UNH's Cowell Stadium.

### Division I

**Exeter (9-2) vs. Goffstown (11-0), 6 p.m.**

- Exeter is making its first appearance in a championship game since winning back-to-back Division I titles in 2011-12, and 17th appearance overall. The Blue Hawks had lost in the semifinals in each of the previous two seasons. In its previous 16 appearances, Exeter is 7-9, having also won titles in 1997-98, 2002-03 and 2007, all in Division II. From 1996-2008, Exeter played in the D2 championship game 11 times, going 5-6\. Exeter also won the Class M title in 1955, and the Division III title in 1957-59 and 1963-65.
- Goffstown is making its second appearance overall in a championship game, and first since reaching the Division III final in 2012\. The Grizzlies lost that game to Portsmouth, 54-27.

### Division II

**Windham (9-1) vs. St. Thomas (10-0), 2:30 p.m.**

- Windham is making its third appearance in a championship game, and will be looking to win back-to-back titles after winning last season's Division II title. The Jaguars defeated St. Thomas a year ago to win the program's first title. Windham also advanced to the Division V title game in 2011, where it also played St. Thomas, and lost 49-28.
- St. Thomas is making its 12th appearance in a championship game and its third in the last five years. The Saints are 6-5 in title games, having won the D2 title in 1974, the D4 title from 1999-2001 and in 2006, and the D5 title in 2011\. St. Thomas also reached the title game in D4 in 1997-98, and in D5 in 2008 and 2010.

### Division III

**Inter-Lakes/Moultonborough (9-1) vs. Newport (10-0), 11 a.m.**

- ILMA is making its third trip to a championship game and first since 2011\. The Lakers have a perfect record in title games, having won the Division VI title in 2009 and 2011.
- Newport is in the Division III title game for the second year in a row, and is making its ninth appearance in a championship game overall. The Tigers are 5-3 in title games, having won D3 in 1973 and 1982, Class I in 1990, D4 in 1995 and D6 in 2010\. Newport also won the D4 title in 1971.
