# Playoff Picture: Boys Lacrosse (May 25)

It’s the final week of the regular season and there’s still a lot left to be decided before the start of the boys lacrosse playoffs.

Here’s a look at where teams in all three divisions stand as the tournament season creeps closer. These standings and brackets are available to Sports Insider Members only; you can signup for a membership by clicking the button below.

*Note: Divisions I and III will have eight playoff teams, while Division II will have 12 teams. Standings based off results reported to NHIAA.org and other media outlets. These are not official pairings.*

### Division I

- Pinkerton clinches the No. 2 seed with a win over Exeter
- Exeter clinches the No. 2 seed with a win over Pinkerton.
- Bedford has clinched the No. 4 seed.
- Londonderry has clinched the No. 5 seed.
- Salem has clinched the No. 6 seed.
- Nashua South has clinched the No. 7 seed.
- Hanover has clinched the No. 8 seed.

**Quarterfinal matchups**

- No. 8 Hanover at No. 1 Bishop Guertin

Quarterfinals are scheduled for Saturday, June 2, at the home of the higher seed.

**Tiebreakers**

- St. Thomas wins the tiebreaker with Hollis Brookline thanks to a head-to-head victory.

**Scenarios**

- Derryfield has clinched the No. 1 seed.
- Portsmouth has clinched the No. 2 seed.
- Dover has clinched the No. 3 seed.
- Merrimack Valley clinches the No. 4 seed with a win over Kennett.
- Goffstown clinches the No. 4 seed with a win over Portsmouth and a Merrimack Valley loss to Kennett. A loss could drop the Grizzlies as low as No. 7.
- Winnacunnet could finish as high as No. 4 or as low as No. 7.
- Windham clinches the No. 4 seed with a win over St. Thomas and losses by Merrimack Valley and Goffstown. The Jaguars can finish no lower than No. 7.
- Keene clinches the No. 8 seed with a win over Manchester Memorial.
- Timberlane, St. Thomas and Hollis Brookline clinch playoff spots with a win.
- Oyster River clinches a playoff spot with a win and a loss by Timberlane, St. Thomas or Hollis Brookline. A loss eliminates the Bobcats.
- If Bow beats John Stark, it clinches a playoff spot with a loss by two of the following: Timberlane, St. Thomas, Hollis Brookline and Oyster River.
- If John Stark beats Bow, it clinches a playoff spot with a loss by two of the following: St. Thomas, Hollis Brookline and Oyster River.

**First-round byes**

- No. 1 Derryfield
- No. 2 Portsmouth
- No. 3 Dover
- No. 4 Merrimack Valley

**Preliminary round matchups**

- No. 9 Keene at No. 8 Kingswood
- No. 12 Hollis Brookline at No. 5 Goffstown

The preliminary round is scheduled for Wednesday, May 30, at the home of the higher seed.

**Tiebreakers**

- Milford and ConVal finish ahead of Inter-Lakes/Moultonborough in a three-way tiebreaker thanks to a better rating against tournament teams.
- Milford wins the tiebreaker with ConVal thanks to a better rating in head-to-head games.

**Scenarios**

- Hopkinton clinches the No. 1 seed with a win over Milford or a Laconia loss to Gilford.
- Laconia clinches the No. 1 seed with a win over Gilford and a Hopkinton loss to Milford.
- Pelham can finish no lower than No. 3 and would clinch the No. 2 seed with a win over Stevens and a Laconia loss to Gilford.
- Plymouth has clinched the No. 4 seed.
- Trinity has clinched the No. 5 seed.
- Monadnock has clinched a playoff spot.
- Milford and ConVal can clinch a playoff spot with a win.
- Inter-Lakes/Moultonborough can clinch a playoff spot with a win and a loss by Milford or ConVal.
- If there is a four-way tie for the final three spots between Monadnock, Milford, ConVal and Inter-Lakes/Moultonborough, Monadnock, Milford and ConVal would get in.
- If there is a four-way tie for the final two spots between Milford, ConVal, Coe-Brown and Inter-Lakes/Moultonborough, ConVal and ILM would get in.
- If there is a three-way tie for the final spot between Inter-Lakes/Moultonborough, Milford and Coe-Brown, ILM gets the final spot.
