# Playoff Picture: Boys Lacrosse (May 23)

It’s the final week of the regular season and there’s still a lot left to be decided before the start of the boys lacrosse playoffs.

Here’s a look at where teams in all three divisions stand as the tournament season creeps closer. These standings and brackets are available to Sports Insider Members only; you can signup for a membership by clicking the button below.

*Note: Divisions I and III will have eight playoff teams, while Division II will have 12 teams. Standings based off results reported to NHIAA.org and other media outlets. These are not official pairings.*

### Division I

**Playoff field (record, rating)**

1. Bishop Guertin (16-0, 4.0000)
2. Pinkerton (15-2, 3.5294)
3. Exeter (13-3, 3.2500)
4. Bedford (11-6, 2.5882)
5. Londonderry (10-6, 2.5000)

**Remaining schedule**

- **Wednesday:** Duxbury (Mass.) at Bishop Guertin, 5 p.m.; Concord at Merrimack, 7 p.m.; Souhegan at Exeter, 7 p.m.
- **Thursday:** Bishop Guertin at Concord, 4 p.m.; Manchester Central at Salem, 5 p.m.; Londonderry at Hanover, 5 p.m.; Merrimack at Bedford, 5:30 p.m.
- **Friday:** Hollis Brookline (D2) at Nashua North, 3:30 p.m.; Exeter at Pinkerton, 5 p.m.

**Scenarios**

- Bishop Guertin has clinched the No. 1 seed.
- Pinkerton is the No. 2 seed if it beats Exeter, or if Exeter loses to Souhegan.
- Exeter is the No. 2 seed if it wins out.
- Bedford clinches the No. 4 seed with a win over Merrimack.
- Londonderry clinches the No. 4 seed with a win over Hanover and a loss by Bedford.
- Salem clinches the No. 6 seed with a win over Manchester Central.
- Nashua South will be the No. 7 seed, unless Salem loses to Central.
- Hanover has clinched the No. 8 seed.

**Quarterfinal matchups**

- No. 8 Hanover at No. 1 Bishop Guertin
- No. 5 Londonderry at No. 4 Bedford
- No. 7 Nashua South at No. 2 Pinkerton
- No. 6 Salem at No. 3 Exeter

Quarterfinals are scheduled for Saturday, June 2, at the home of the higher seed.

### Division II

**Tiebreakers**

- Merrimack Valley wins the tiebreaker with Dover thanks to a head-to-head victory.

**Scenarios**

- Derryfield has clinched the No. 1 seed.
- Portsmouth will clinch the No. 2 seed with a win.
- Dover, Goffstown, Merrimack Valley and Winnacunnet still have a shot at a bye.
- Windham has clinched a top eight seed.
- Kingswood and Keene have clinched a playoff spot.
- Timberlane, St. Thomas and Hollis Brookline clinch playoff spots with a win.

- Milford and ConVal finish ahead of Inter-Lakes/Moultonborough in a three-way tiebreaker thanks to a better rating against tournament teams.
- Milford wins the tiebreaker with ConVal thanks to a better rating in head-to-head games.

**Scenarios**

- Hopkinton clinches the No. 1 seed with a win or a Laconia loss.
- Laconia clinches the No. 1 seed with a win and a Hopkinton loss.
- Pelham, Plymouth and Monadnock have clinched playoff spots.
- Trinity clinches a playoff spot with a win or a loss by Milford, Inter-Lakes/Moultonborough or ConVal.
- Milford and ConVal can clinch a playoff spot with a win.
- Inter-Lakes/Moultonborough can clinch a playoff spot with a win and a loss by Milford or ConVal.
- If there is a four-way tie for the final two spots between Milford, ConVal, Coe-Brown and Inter-Lakes/Moultonborough, ConVal and ILM would get in.
- If there is a five-way tie for the final two spots between those four teams, plus Gilford, then ConVal and Gilford would get in.
- If there is a three-way tie for the final spot between Inter-Lakes/Moultonborough, Milford and Coe-Brown, ILM gets the final spot.
