# Pigskin Prophets: Week 1

We don't ever want football to stop, so when a new season begins, we want to cling to it, savor every moment.

While the Prophets haven't always been here to make picks ([listen to our first podcast of the year for why we didn't in 2022](https://www.nh-highschoolsports.com/ninth-state-sports-show-football-edition-aug-22/)), this will be the website's 14th football season, and for me, it will be my 20th (18th in New Hampshire). That's a lot of football, and while sometimes I don't know where it's going - and I'm sure people will say I don't know what I'm doing - believe me when I say, I don't ever want to stop.

That said, welcome to the 2023 football season.
