For the third year in a row, Maegan Doody of Oyster River High School has been named the Gatorade Cross Country Runner of the Year for New Hampshire.

Doody, a senior for the Bobcats, is the state's first three-time runner of the year, and the fifth in any sport to win three POY awards. Matt Bonner (Concord basketball), Tiffany Ruffin (Winnacunnet basketball), Morgan Andrews (Milford soccer) and Hannah Parker (Coe-Brown track) are the others.

As a senior, Doody won the Meet of Champions for the third year in a row and finished first in the Division II meet for the second straight year. She also placed 28th at the Foot Locker Northeast Regional.

Doody, who will continue to run at Georgetown University, was undefeated against New Hampshire competition in 2015.
