North girls basketball tops South

The Nashua High School North girls basketball team got some big free throws down the stretch from freshman Taylor Choate and knocked off Nashua South 38-34 Thursday night.

Choate hit two free throws with five seconds left in the game and scored a game-high 13 points while teammate Katelyn Roeser hit two 3-pointers for another six points for the Titans (8-2 in Division II).

South (2-8) got 12 points from Jackie Gillis while Jillian Joyal added seven points.
