NHHSSports Football Performances of the Week (Sept. 22)

Every week during the football season, on the Ninth State Sports Show podcast, Joe Marchilena and Mike Lochman will each select a Player and a Team of the Week from the previous weekend’s performances.

Here are the selections for Week 3:

Player of the Week

• Mike’s Pick: Dima Petrov, Hanover. The junior kicker accounted for all of the Bears' points in their 12-7 win over Pelham, as Petrov kicked four field goals, including two from 40-plus yards.
• Joe’s Pick: Kingston Green, Manchester West. The junior running back also accounted for all of the Blue Knights' scores in a 36-21 win over ConVal. Green ran for 211 yards and five touchdowns to help West improve to 3-0.

Team of the Week

• Mike’s Pick: Milford. The Spartans improved to 3-0 following a 44-13 win over Hollis Brookline last week, the first time they've done that since the 2019 season. Max Cote led Milford with 182 yards rushing and five touchdowns.
• Joe’s Pick: Londonderry. The Lancers also went to 3-0 on the season with a 33-12 win over Manchester Central in what was a potential trap game. Sully Daron threw four touchdown passes and ran for another for Londonderry, which will host Pinkerton on Friday.

• Players: Nate Bowen, Bishop Guertin; Jacob "Bubba" Bryan, Souhegan.
• Teams: Plymouth, Pinkerton.

Week 1

• Players: AJ Bellen, John Stark; Maverick Torres, Merrimack.
• Teams: Salem; ConVal.
