Here are the selections for Week 5:
Player of the Week
- Mike’s Pick: Brady Spellman, Pinkerton. The senior running back ran for 213 yards and a two touchdowns on 11 carries, all in the first half of the Astros' 37-14 win over Concord.
- Joe’s Pick: Brody Pinciaro, Campbell. The junior running back led the Cougars offense with 183 yards and three touchdowns on 14 carries to help Campbell get its third in in a row, 39-11, over Stevens.
Team of the Week
- Mike’s Pick: Windham. The Jaguars went out to Hampton, and not only handed Winnacunnet its first loss, but shut out a Warriors offense that had averaged 37.5 points through its first four games.
- Joe’s Pick: Nashua North. Down two touchdowns to Goffstown late in the third quarter, the Titans scored on three consecutive possessions to take the lead. After a long touchdown drive by the Grizzlies put them in position to tie the game, North regrouped and stopped the two-point conversion to get a 28-26 comeback win.
