NASHUA – The Nashua South High School football team shut out its second straight opponent, defeating Spaulding 27-0.

It was a very physical, defensive game on Friday night at Stellos Stadium in Nashua, as both teams forced a combined 14 punts and three turnovers.

The Panthers (5-2), under head coach Scott Knight, have now shut out offenses in back-to-back games and the defense looked impressive forcing six three-and-outs and not allowing the Red Raiders (2-5) to pass the 50 until the 1:01 mark of the second quarter. The Panthers also had two takeaways as Jacob Smith had two interceptions.

On the offensive side of the ball, quarterback Chris Keefe and the Compoh brothers, Jason and Joshua, carried South. Keefe went 9 of 17 throwing the football for 113 yards while also rushing for 46 yards with two rushing touchdowns.

Jason Compoh rushed for 77 yards with a touchdown while catching two passes for 31 yards and Joshua Compoh rushed for 29 yards while catching two passes for 30 yards.

For the Red Raiders offense, quarterback Logan Gadbois logged 47 yards passing with a pair of interceptions while also rushing for 14 yards. Running back Jaric Levesque rushed for 38 yards and wide receiver Ryan Lane had three catches for 19 yards. Defensively for Spaulding had three sacks, and a forced fumble.

Nashua South goes on the road next Friday to take on Dover, while Spaulding returns home to take on Bishop Guertin, also on Friday.
