# Milford sweeps Southern Cluster meet

AMHERST - The Milford High School boys and girls track teams both finished first, ahead of Bedford, at the Southern Cluster Championship meet at Souhegan High School Tuesday.

The Spartan boys recorded 179 points to finish first, while Bedford had 155 points to come in second. Souhegan was third with 109 while Con-Val (66) came in fourth and Pelham (26) was fifth. Hollis/Brookline was sixth with 14 points.

On the girls side, Milford had 186.5 points to beat Bedford (163.5). Souhegan was third with 110 and H/B came in fourth with 55\. Pelham (20) finished fifth while Con-Val and Windham tied for sixth with 10 points each.

Max Goudreau led Milford with four first-place finishes, winning the 100-meter dash (11.2 seconds), the 200 (22.6), the long jump (20-1.5) and the triple jump (40-8.5).

Milford's Connor Jackson won both the 1,600 (4:43.6) and the 3,200 (10:02.8) and Connor Crowley won the 400 (52.8).

Parker Lyttle and Jared Asselin tied for first in the high jump (6-0) and Tate Poplar won the pole vault (12-0). Peter Benoit also won the javelin (147-10).

Bert DeForest of Souhegan was first in the 800 (2:02.4) and teammate Ben DeForest won the 110 hurdles (15.7). Souhegan also won the 4x400 relay (3:36.0) and the 4x800 relay (8:23.4).

Justin Rooney of Bedford won the discus (144-8) while the Bulldogs won the 4x100 relay (45.1).

Con-Val's Jared Orazio won the shot put (46-5.75) and Pelham's Kevin Cheam took first in the 300 hurdles (43.5).

### Girls

Both Courtney Hawkins and Jessica Krafft won three events for Milford. Krafft was first in the 100 (13.0), the 200 (26.6) and the 400 (1:00.7), while Hawkins won the 800 (2:27.5), the 1,600 (5:28.2) and the 3,200 (11:30.7).

Milford also finished first in the 4x400 relay (4:14.5).

Bedford's Samantha Dee won the 100 hurdles (17.1) and teammate Rachel Allen won the 300 hurdles (48.8). Jenny Mara took first in the high jump (5-0) and Laura Costes won the pole vault (7-6).

Brenna Williams won the long jump (16-5.5) and the Bulldogs also finished first in the 4x100 relay (52.1).

Isabella Stuopis led Souhegan with two first-place finishes, winning the shot put (36-11.25) and the discus (109-8). Souhegan also came in first in the 4x800 relay (10:15.9).

Hollis/Brookline's Lindsey Beauregard was first in the triple jump (30-10.75).
