# Merrimack's Powell earns D2 Player of the Year honors

Merrimack's Connor Powell was named the Division II Player of the Year.

The high school boys and girls hockey teams from Manchester Central, Merrimack, Berlin and Lebanon may have come up short of a championship, but each one got a bit of a consolation.

All four teams featured their respective division's Player of the Year, as selected by the New Hampshire High School Hockey Coaches Association.

Central's Austin Sprague (Division I), Merrimack's Connor Powell (D2) and Berlin's Connor Jewett (D3) were named Player of the Year, while Lebanon's Chrissy Drake was the Girls Player of the Year. The three boys teams all lost in the division final, while Drake's Raiders fell in the semifinals.

**Player of the Year:** Austin Sprague, Manchester Central.

**Coach of the Year:** Andrew Leach, St. Thomas.

**First team:** Austin Sprague, senior, Manchester Central; Dominic Corsetto, senior, Pinkerton; Jake Pappalardo, sophomore, Salem; Connor Donahue, junior, Bishop Guertin; Colin Williamson, senior, Manchester Memorial; Ryan Slatky, senior, Trinity.

**Second team:** Eric Coburn, junior, Londonderry; Glenn Wiswell, junior, St. Thomas; Brendan Sullivan, junior, Manchester Memorial; John Dunn, senior, Londonderry; Brady McNulty, senior, Manchester Memorial; Nick Phair, senior, Salem.
