Merrimack player, coach earn top volleyball honors

The Merrimack High School volleyball team had a season to remember, and the Tomahawks were rewarded for it.

Merrimack's Maggie Kenney was named the Division I Player of the Year and coach Tammy Lambrou was named Coach of the Year after the led the Tomahawks (20-2) to the division championship game, where they fell to Hollis/Brookline (20-2).

Kenney was one of three Merrimack players to receive all-state honors, while H/B - which won its first Division I title - had three players named all-state.

In Division II, Bedford coach Emma Carole was named Coach of the Year after leading the Bulldogs to a 14-4 record and the division quarterfinals. The Bulldogs also had two players receive all-state honors.
