# Merrimack makes a jump in this week's New Hampshire Orthopaedic Center/NHHSSports Field Hockey Coaches Poll

The Merrimack High School field hockey team keeps on winning and the Tomahawks now keep moving up the New Hampshire Orthopaedic Center/NHHSSports Coaches Poll. 

Going into the week, Merrimack has won seven straight games, and now, the Tomahawks have moved up four spots this week to No. 6 in the poll. 

Winnacunnet takes the top spot for the second week in a row, getting 10 first-place votes, while Pinkerton is again at No. 2, also for the second straight week. Souhegan, which got a first-place vote, and Keene were once again at Nos. 3 and 4\. 

Bow held on to the No. 5 spot for the second staight week, with Merrimack jumping up to come in at No. 6\. Bedford remained at No. 7 while Londonderry dropped two spots to come in at No. 8\. 

Dover remained at No. 9 in the poll and Hanover dropped two spots to take the final spot at No. 10\. 

Here is this week's NHHSS Field Hockey Coaches Poll . These are the top 10 field hockey teams in the state, with this year’s record, first-place votes/points (T=tie), and last week's ranking.

1. Winnacunnet (8-0), 10/108, 1st
2. Pinkerton (8-0-2), 91, 2nd
3. Souhegan (8-0-2), 1/82, 3rd
4. Keene (9-2), 79, 4th
5. Bow (9-0), 59, 5th
6. Merrimack (7-2), 39, 10th
7. Bedford (6-4), 36, 7th
8. Londonderry (4-4-1), 29, 6th
9. Dover (7-4), 27, 9th
10. Hanover (7-2-1), 22, 8th

**Others receiving votes:** Timberlane (6-3), 9; Bishop Guertin (4-4-1), 7; John Stark (5-5), 6; Gilford (8-0-1), 5; St. Thomas (7-2), 1\. 

The coaches poll is voted on by field hockey coaches from around the state and members of the media. The poll will be updated every Monday throughout the regular season.
