Merrimack hockey still unbeaten in D2

The Merrimack High School boys hockey team defeated Bow 4-3 on Wednesday and the Tomahawks remain the only undefeated team left in Division II.

Erik Glendye had two goals and two assists for Merrimack (9-0), which is two games ahead in the loss column of second-place Dover (5-2).

Chris Kinney and Rutger Tupper also had goals as the Tomahawks opened a 4-1 lead after one period and held on in the final two frames.

It was the Tomahawks' third one-goal win on the season. While Merrimack has come out on top of every game this year, only one of those nine wins has been by more than three goals - a 7-1 victory over Kingswood on Jan. 23. Merrimack is back on the ice Saturday at Winnacunnet.
