Ten local teams, including six in Division I, will compete in the girls volleyball playoffs.

Alvirne, Hollis/Brookline, Bishop Guertin and Nashua North will host first-round matches in Division I, while Milford (Division II) and Wilton-Lyndeborough (Division III) will also play at home in the opening round.

### Division I

Alvirne (14-4) earned the No. 4 seed in the tournament and will open the preliminary round at 6 p.m. on Wednesday against No. 13 Dover (7-11). The Broncos won the regular-season match 3-0 on Sept. 20\. The winner of that match will face either No. 5 Pinkerton or No. 12 Concord in the quarterfinals.

On the other side of the top half of the bracket, No. 8 Nashua North (11-7) will host No. 9 Merrimack (11-7) in a first-round match at 6 p.m. on Wednesday. The Titans won the regular-season match 3-0 on Sept. 29\. The winner will then take on either No. 1 Londonderry, the defending champion, or No. 16 Manchester Memorial.

H/B (13-5) is the No. 6 seed and will host No. 11 Nashua South (8-10), also on Wednesday at 6p.m. The Cavaliers won the lone regular-season meeting between the two, 3-1 on Sept. 24\. The winner will take on the winner of No. 3 Salem and No. 14 Keene.

No. 7 Bishop Guertin (13-5) will take on No. 10 Goffstown (9-9) in the opening round on Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. The Cardinals defeated the Grizzlies in the regular season, 3-1 on Sept 24, but Bishop Guertin enters having lost four of five. The winner gets either No. 2 Spaulding or No. 15 Winnacunnet in the quarterfinals.

All quarterfinal matches are scheduled for Saturday.

### Division II

Milford went 13-3 during the regular season to earn the No. 4 seed in the tournament. The Spartans will open against No. 13 Laconia (4-12) on Thursday at 6 p.m. Milford won the regular-season match 3-2 on Sept. 27\. The winner of that match will take on either No. 5 St. Thomas (12-5) or No. 12 Souhegan (7-9). The Saints and Sabers did not meet during the regular season, and will also play their first-round match on Thursday at 6 p.m.

Bedford (8-8) earned the No. 9 seed and will play at No. 8 Windham (8-8) on Thursday at 6 p.m. in the opening round. Windham won the regular-season meeting 3-2 on Oct. 4\. The winner will face either No. 1 Oyster River or No. 16 John Stark.

On the bottom half of the bracket, No. 2 Gilford hosts No. 15 Portsmouth while No. 7 Coe-Brown plays No. 10 Somersworth. The winners will play each other in the quarterfinals.

No. 3 Hanover takes on No. 14 Kennett in the opening round and the winner will face either No. 6 Plymouth or No. 11 Pelham.

The quarterfinals are scheduled for Saturday.

### Division III

Wilton-Lyndeborough (12-4) will be the No. 6 seed in the tournament and will host No. 11 Fall Mountain (8-8) on Thursday at 6 p.m. The teams should be familiar with each other, having played twice in the final week of the regular season. The Warriors won both, 3-0 on Oct. 18 and 3-1 on Oct. 21\. The winner gets to face either No. 3 Epping or No. 14 Sunapee in the quarterfinals.

Also on that side of the bracket, No. 10 Campbell (8-8) travels to face No. 7 Portsmouth Christian (10-6) in the opening round. The winner of that match will take on the winner of No. 2 Farmington and No. 15 Nute.

Winnisquam is the No. 1 seed and will host No. 16 Belmont, while No. 8 Inter-Lakes hosts No. 9 Moultonborough. The winners will meet in the quarterfinals.
