# Manchester Memorial makes jump in this week's New Hampshire Orthopaedic Center/NHHSSports Football Coaches Poll

The Manchester Memorial High School football team bounced back from its first loss with a convincing win over Nashua South.

So convincing, the Crusaders rocketed up this week's New Hampshire Orthopaedic Center/NHHSSports Coaches Poll, moving three spots up to No. 3.

Bedford grabbed one more first-place vote this week, as the Bulldogs had 13 total to hold on to the top spot. Pinkerton received the other two first-place votes and remained at No. 2.

Memorial jumped up from No. 6 to No. 4, while Bishop Guertin and Winnacunnet remained in place at Nos. 4 and 5, respectively. Nashua South traded spots with the Crusaders, dropping to No. 6.

Windham and Souhegan both picked up wins and both held on to their spots at Nos. 7 and 8, respectively, while Salem rejoined the poll after two weeks outside the top 10\. The Blue Devils returned at No. 9 while Exeter dropped one spot to No. 10.

Here is the New Hampshire Orthopaedic Center/NHHSSports Football Coaches Poll for this week. These are the top 10 football teams in the state, with record, first-place votes/points (T=tie) and last week’s ranking.

1. Bedford (7-0), 13/148, 1st
2. Pinkerton (6-1), 2/137, 2nd
3. Manchester Memorial (6-1), 102, 6th
4. Bishop Guertin (5-2), 94, 4th
5. Winnacunnet (6-1), 87, 5th
6. Nashua South (5-2), 86, 3rd
7. Windham (5-2), 65, 7th
8. Souhegan (7-0), 42, 8th
9. Salem (4-3), 24, NR
10. Exeter (5-2), 18, 9th

**Dropped out:** Plymouth.

**Others receiving votes:** Plymouth (6-1), 9, 10th; Concord (3-4), 5; Pelham (6-1), 4; Merrimack (4-2), 2; Trinity (5-1), 1; Monadnock (7-0), 1.

The coaches poll is voted on by football coaches from around the state and members of the media. The will be updated every Monday throughout the regular season.
