# Londonderry, Pinkerton move up in New Hampshire Orthopaedic Center/NHHSSports Football Coaches Poll

One of the biggest games on the calendar is here and the two teams playing in it are both in the top five of this week's New Hampshire Orthopaedic Center/NHHSSports Football Coaches Poll.

Londonderry and Pinkerton will meet Friday for the annual Mack Plaque game, with the Lancers hosting this season, and it will feature the teams ranked Nos. 3 and 4, respectively in this week's poll, as both moved up a spot. 

Bishop Guertin was No. 1 for the third week in a row, as the Cardinals received 21 of 22 first-place votes to remain ahead of Winnacunnet. The Warriors, who received the other first-place vote, came in at No. 2 for the second straight week. 

The Lancers and the Astros both moved up one spot from Nos. 4 and 5, respectively, while Concord jumped four spots to round out the top five. Salem, which lost to the Crimson Tide last week, dropped from third to sixth. 

Exeter and Windham also dropped a spot, despite each picking up a win, with the Blue Hawks coming in at No. 7 and the Jaguars at No. 8\. 

Portsmouth-Oyster River moved up one spot to No. 9, trading places with Bedford, which remained in the poll at No. 10\. 

Here is this week's New Hampshire Orthopaedic Center/NHHSSports Football Coaches Poll. These are the top 10 football teams in the state, with this year's record, first-place votes/points (T=tie) and last week's ranking.

2. Winnacunnet (3-0), 1/194, 2nd
3. Londonderry (3-0), 159, 4th
4. Pinkerton (2-1), 156, 5th
5. Concord (2-1), 101, 9th
6. Salem (1-1), 100, 3rd
7. Exeter (2-1), 93, 6th
8. Windham (2-1), 91, 7th
9. Portsmouth-Oyster River (2-1), 32, 10th
10. Bedford (1-2), 22, 8th

**Also receiving votes:** Souhegan (3-0), 14; Plymouth (3-0), 14; Manchester Central (2-1), 7; Nashua North (2-1), 6; Manchester Memorial (0-2), 2\. 

The coaches poll is voted on by football coaches from around the state and members of the media. The poll will be updated every Monday throughout the regular season.
