Let the field hockey jamborees begin

The start of the field hockey regular season is just a week away, which means it's time for all the teams from around the state to ramp up their preparation this weekend.

Starting Friday, there will be three jamborees held around the state, featuring just about every team from New Hampshire.

First up is the Plymouth Playday Jamboree, which begins at 9 a.m. on Friday at Plymouth High School. Then on Saturday, both Souhegan and Dover will host Playing for a Purpose Jamborees, with Dover's starting at 8 a.m. and Souhegan's getting going at 9 a.m.

Following are schedules for each event.

Plymouth Playday: Friday, Aug. 21

Playing for a Purpose (Souhegan): Saturday, Aug. 22

Playing for a Purpose (Dover): Saturday, Aug. 22

The field hockey regular season begins on Thursday, Aug. 27.
