# Hollis Brookline girls volleyball holds off Pinkerton

The No. 4 Hollis Brookline High School girls volleyball team advanced to the quarterfinals with a 3-2 win over No. 13 Pinkerton in the Division I preliminary round on Wednesday. Game scores were 25-19, 25-18, 20-25, 24-26 and 15-13.

Maddie Norris led the way for the Cavaliers (16-3) with 21 kills and Hannah Balfour had 52 assists. Kyra Belden had three aces and Natalie Cook added three blocks while Sammie Sheppard had 23 digs.

HB will host No. 5 Bishop Guertin in the second round at 6 p.m. on Saturday.
