H/B wins tiebreaker, beats Souhegan

The Hollis/Brookline High School girls tennis team outlasted Souhegan, 5-4 , in a Class I match at Camp Tevya on Monday. With the teams tied at 4, the No. 2 doubles match went to a tiebreaker, which the Cavaliers pulled out 7-1.

The Hollis/Brookline High School girls tennis team outlasted Souhegan, 5-4 , in a Class I match at Camp Tevya on Monday.

With the teams tied at 4, the No. 2 doubles match went to a tiebreaker, which the Cavaliers pulled out 7-1.

H/B's Caroline Quagheri and Erica Tamposi defeated Emily Parrett and Mia Ommundsen, 9-8 (7-1), to give the Cavs the final win needed for victory after both teams had won three matches each in the singles.

Emily Readdy and Alex Silva both continued their stellar seasons for the Sabers, as both won their singles matches to improve to 5-1 on the season. Readdy won the No. 1 match, beating Julia Stopera 8-3, while Silva knocked off Naomi Jefferson 8-5 in the No. 2 match.

Readdy and Silva also won the No. 1 doubles match against Stopera and Jefferson, 8-6.

Parrett defeated Tamposi, 8-1, in the No. 3 singles match, but those were the only other wins for the Sabers.

Caroline Barrett gave H/B a win at No. 4, beating Ommundsen 8-0, while Ciara Musson defeated Maura Belanger, 8-0, at No. 5 singles. Sam Razzaboni also knocked off Rebecca Trouwee, 8-5, in the No. 6 match.

Barrett and Razzaboni defeated Belanger and Trouwee to give H/B an 8-5 win in the No. 3 doubles match.
