H/B girls knock off Souhegan

The Hollis/Brookline High School girls tennis team cruised to an 8-1 win over Souhegan on Friday.

The Cavaliers (4-0) won five of six singles matches to remain unbeaten in Division II, while the Sabers fell to 0-3.

Naomi Jefferson got a win for H/B at No. 2 singles, beating Souhegan's Maeye Morgan 8-4. Caroline Barrett defeated Emily Hagen 8-2 at No.3 and Sam Razzaboni won the No. 4 match, 8-2 over Katie Casper. Kelsey Tulley got an 8-1 win over Sara Noble at No. 5 while Lauren Guetling defeated Lindsay Moss 8-5 at No. 6.

Souhegan's Emily Parrett knocked off Julia Stopera 8-3 for the Sabers' lone win.

Stopera and Jefferson teamed up to defeat Parrett and Morgan 8-1 at No. 1 doubles, while Barrett and Razzaboni knocked off Hagen and Casper 8-0 at No. 2. Tulley and Guetling won the No. 3 match, 8-5 over Noble and Moss.
