Goffstown tabs Hufft as next football coach

The Goffstown High School football team will have a new face patrolling the sideline, one that might be familiar to those in the Souhegan Valley.

Justin Hufft, a former assistant coach at Souhegan, was named as Rob Cathcart's replacement at Goffstown. Hufft takes over a program that Cathcart, who resigned in January, had led for all nine years of its existence.

This will be Hufft's first time as a head coach after spending the last two seasons as an assistant at St. Anselm College. Hufft was also an assistant at Souhegan for 11 years and he is the fourth former assistant of Mike Beliveau to become a head coach, joining Milt Robinson (Hollis/Brookline), Joe Battista (Merrimack) and Kurt Hines (Bedford).
