# Girls basketball teams meet at Bedford for Battle For New England (video)

Thirty-two high school girls basketball teams from New Hampshire, Maine and Massachusetts descended on Bedford High School this weekend for the Battle For New England summer tournament.

The two-day tournament started Saturday, with pool play finishing up Sunday before placement games begin. The teams that finish at the top of each pool will battle for bragging rights starting at 4 p.m.

Highlights from Saturday's game include:

- Acton-Boxborough vs. Pinkerton
- Maranacook vs. Milford
- St. Thomas vs. Londonderry
- Laconia vs. Milford
- Maranacook vs. White Mountains
- Colebrook vs. Alvirne
