Fourth-quarter comeback lifts Nashua South past Hollis Brookline in Chick-fil-A Holiday Basketball Tournament
NASHUA - Down by as many as seven in the third quarter, the Nashua High School South boys basketball team cranked up its fullcourt press and came back for a 62-55 win over Hollis Brookline on Thursday at the Chick-fil-A Holiday Basketball Tournament at Nashua South.

Yordy Tavarez led the Panthers with a game-high 23 points, while Mike Osgood added 14 points and Trevor Knight was also in double figures with 11. South closed the game on a 13-6 run after trailing for most of the night, thanks to its ability to force turnovers in the second half.
HB committed 13 turnovers in the final 16 minutes, including three in under a minute in the fourth quarter, as South took advantage, turning a 49-49 game into a 55-49 lead.Daniel Bentall led the Cavs with 14 points and Matt Fothergill added 13 points, including three 3-pointers. HB struggled to keep its big men on the floor all night, as both Shea Whalen (six points) and Logan Blake (seven) fouled out in the fourth quarter.
South will take on Thornton Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday in the semifinals, while HB takes on Goffstown at 4:30 p.m.
