Football Roundup: Week 3 (video)

NASHUA - Nate Bowen and the Bishop Guertin High School football team continued to cruise, getting a 58-17 win Saturday night over Nashua South.

Bowen was 14 of 17 passing for 279 yards and six touchdowns, and ran for 59 yards and a score. Four of those scoring passes went to Jake Bowen, his younger brother, who also had six catches for 172 yards.

Rocco Roy added three catches for 71 yards and two scores while Logan Curran ran for 83 yards and a touchdown. The Cardinals (3-0, No. 1 in the New Hampshire Orthopaedic Center/NHHSSports Coaches Poll) scored all of their points in the first half.

Andrew Hughes led the defense with six tackles while Bishop Kearns had four tackles. Curran had three tackles for loss and Braeden Hashem and Xavier Johnson each had a sack.

Eric Baker ran for 46 yards and a touchdown for South (0-3) while CJ Goss was 6 of 16 for 69 yards with a touchdown and an interception. Shawn Burrus caught a 5-yard touchdown pass.

No. 4 Londonderry 33, Manchester Central 12

MANCHESTER - Sully Daron threw for four touchdowns and ran in another as the Lancers got the road win over the Little Green.

Daron was 12 of 23 passing for 294 yards and also ran for 42 yards to go with the five combined touchdowns. Both of Devin VanAvery's catches went for scores and he had 104 yards receiving while Owen Crafts caught four passes for 101 yards and a score and ran for 33 yards.

Davis Magarian added four catches for 75 yards and a touchdown while Dante Fabiano added 41 yards on the ground.

Drake Jamies led Central (2-1), going 14 of 28 passing for 195 yards and two touchdowns. Romello Diaz (four catches, 51 yards) caught a 32-yard scoring pass and Myles Mara caught a 29-yard touchdown.

Trevor Gray had 83 yards rushing and caught three passes for 25 yards.

No. 2 Winnacunnet 48, Dover 0

The Warriors improved to 3-0 on the year with a win over the Green Wave in a game played at Spaulding.

Thomas Lyons ran 11 times for 94 yards and three touchdowns and Jaxon McDonald had 72 yards rushing and two touchdowns on three attempts. As a team, Winnacunnet rushed for 323 yards.

On defense, the Warriors allowed just 52 yards and one first down.

No. 7 Windham 28, Alvirne 6

Mike Brearley led the way for the Jaguars as they bounced back with a win over the Broncos.

The senior ran 21 times for 195 yards and two touchdowns while Jackson Wright was 12 of 20 passing for 140 yards and two scores for Windham (2-1).

Sam Roidoulis had three catches for 41 yards and a touchdown and Alex Aldrich also caught a 27-yard score. Alex Blanco added four catches for 26 yards.

Joey Estrella had 10 tackles and a sack to lead the Jaguars defense and Chris Guarnaccia had nine tackles. Brooks Batson had seven tackles, including a tackle for loss.

Goffstown 7, Keene 6

Nick Cote scored on a 48-yard run in the fourth quarter to help the Grizzlies get their first win against the Blackbirds.

Cote finished with 185 yards on 19 carries while Connor Hofstetter ran for 46 yards and was 7 of 13 passing for 80 yards and an interception for Goffstown (1-2).

Keene (0-3) scored on a 40-yard touchdown pass from Whitman Conboy to Griffin Yardley in the third quarter. The Blackbirds went for two and didn't get it to lead 6-0.

Conboy was 10 of 19 passing for 83 yards while Yardley caught seven passes for 77 yards.

Thornton Academy 49, No. 8 Bedford 7

The Bulldogs went to Sacco, Maine, and fell to the Trojans in an out-of-state game.

Bedford (1-2) got its points on a 46-yard scoring pass from Wyatt Carnevale to Joey Suozzo in the fourth quarter. Brycen D'Urso had 51 yards rushing for the Bulldogs.

Division II

Manchester West 36, ConVal 21

The Blue Knights pulled away in the second half in their first road game of the year to beat the Cougars.

Kingston Green led the way for West (3-0), rushing for 211 yards and five touchdowns, as the Blue Knights gained 244 of their 269 yards on the ground.

Manny Medonza was 2 of 4 passing for 27 yards, with Noah Sheedy catching one pass for 19 yards and a two-point conversion.

Hanover 12, Pelham 7

Dima Petrov kicked four field goals, including two from 40-plus yards, to lead the Bears (1-2) past the Pythons.

Pelham (2-1) outgained Hanover, 227-136, but penalties and three turnovers hurt the Pythons.

Ben Maslanek ran for 53 yards and a touchdown while Luke Drapher had 101 yards on the ground and Noah Johnson added 42 yards. Kevin Clifton was 4 of 8 passing for 31 yards and two interceptions.

Nick Landry had eight tackles for Pelham while Maslanek and Draper had five tackles apiece. Gabriel Jimenez finished with 4.5 tackles.

Kennett 7, Pembroke 0

Cooper Coleman ran for 138 yards and a touchdown to lead the Eagles to a win over the Spartans.

Bowen Brown was 9 of 19 passing for 75 yards for Kennett (1-2), but was intercepted twice by Pembroke (0-3). The Eagles got two picks on defense, with Hunter Robitaille and Ethan Lachance each getting an interception.

Robitaille also had nine tackles while Brock McPherson, Nate Johnston and Marquis Twomey each had seven tackles.

Kingswood 41, Bow 8

The Knights broke open a close game with 28 points in the third quarter to beat the Falcons.

Dean Porter scored four touchdowns, three on the ground, while rushing for 168 yards on 21 carries to go with two catches for 40 yards.

Nolan Chominski completed 6 of 12 passes for 109 yards and two scores, with Ethan Nicoll catching two passes for 42 yards and a score.

Logan Nicoll also had a 65-yard kickoff return for a touchdown and Kingswood (2-1) also recorded a safety.

Merrimack Valley 19, St. Thomas 10

The Saints got a big game from Brady McDonald and Bailey White but it wasn't enough against the Pride.

McDonald was 10 of 25 passing for 172 yards with a touchdown and an interception while White caught three passes for 124 yards for St. Thomas (1-2). Parker Hamel had a 5-yard touchdown catch and Josh Kupka had 70 yards of offense.

Brandown Skowron had 15 tackles and Cam Stowell and White had eight tackles each while Evan Reyes recorded seven tackles. Lincoln Hydock added a 37-yard field goal.

Division IV

Newfound 42, Hillsboro-Deering 7

The Hillcats lost their first division game since the end of the 2024 season in a road loss to the Bears.

Jonathan King had the lone touchdown for H-D (1-1) to go with 20 yards on the ground and Haven Porter had 58 yards rushing.

Matthew Jouvelakas had five tackles, with two for loss and a sack. Keagan Lamos-Garon had nine tackles while Conor Dumais had five tackles and an interception and Tucker Thibault had five tackles and a sack.
