Donnelly finished the day 13 of 21 passing for 195 yards with touchdown passes to Jake Ambrose (four catches, 49 yards), Riley Maher (three, 96) and Aiden Kimball (one, 6) while Jackson Downs also had three catches for 41 yards. Donnelly also had an 18-yard touchdown run and Curtis Page also ran for a score. The Lakers were 6 of 8 on fourth down and forced three turnovers, scoring off two of them. Brody Pinciaro led the Cougars with 124 yards rushing and a touchdown while Joel Ducatelli and Ben Rakiey also scoring on the ground. **Gilford 35, Stevens 14** The Cardinals returned the opening kickoff for a touchdown, but the Golden Eagles bounced back to get the win. Lukas Diaz had three touchdowns: one rushing, one receiving, and one on an interception return. Cayden Carroll connected with Diaz on the scoring toss and had a rushing score of his own while Liam Butler also ran for a touchdown. ### *Division I* **Merrimack 35, Goffstown 0** Maverick Torres threw three touchdown passes in the first half as the Tomahawks rolled to a season-opening win over the Grizzlies. Torres was 11 of 12 passing for 206 yards with Stephen Doyle, Sam Demas and Kaiden Okowuga each catching a touchdown pass. Gabe Gorman and Cash Torres added rushing touchdowns for Merrimack, which won its season-opener for the first time since 2020. **No. 8 Windham 31, No. 9 Concord 28** The Jaguars led 28-14 at halftime and held off the Crimson Tide in the second half to get the win in a matchup of teams ranked in the New Hampshire Orthopaedic Center/NHHSSports Coaches Poll. Jackson Wright was 17 of 21 for 316 yards and three touchdowns for Windham while Mike Brearley ran for 160 yards and a score on 20 carries. Chris Boyd had six catches for 131 yards and a touchdown while Sam Roidoulis (four catches, 92 yards) and Alex Blanco (four, 41) each had a touchdown catch. Joey Estrella led the defense with 11 tackles and Brooks Batson had nine, while Roidoulis and Brearley had seven tackles apiece. Quinn Belair and Jon Brearley each had an interception and Chris Guarnaccia kicked what proved to be the game-winning field goal from 25 yards in the third quarter. Colin Savard had 125 yards of offense for Concord to go with a rushing score and an 80-yard kickoff return for another touchdown. Rhys Craigue finished with 175 yards passing and a touchdown toss Curtis Cooper while also rushing for a score. The Crimson Tide had a chance to win on the final play, but a hail mary pass was intercepted by the Jaguars. **No. 3 Winnacunnet 27, Portsmouth-Oyster River 6** Ryder Thurlow had 68 yards rushing and two touchdowns to help lead the Warriors past the ClipperCats. Thomas Lyons had a team-high 111 yards on the ground while Burke Spalding had 48 yards and a score. Jaxon McDonald also ran for a touchdown for Winnacunnet. **No. 2 Bishop Guertin 42, Nashua North 7** Nate Bowen threw three touchdown passes to help the Cardinals open with a win over the Titans. Bowen was 14 of 24 passing for 320 yards, with two scoring tosses going to brother Jake Bowen (four catches, 203 yards). Wyatt Hull also had three catches for 30 yards and a score and Daunte Sisay added five catches for 67 yards. Will Adams ran for 110 yards and two touchdowns on 12 carries and Logan Curran (seven rushes, 44 yards) also had a rushing score. Jackson Humphrey and Xavier Johnson each had five tackles on defense while Luke Arboleda had four and Gavin Harnum had an interception. **No. 7 Bedford 48, Nashua South 14** The Bulldogs jumped out to an early lead and cruised past the Panthers in a rematch of last year's D1 semifinal. Winston Huynh ran for two touchdowns and Parker Beauchemin (5 of 8, 199 yards) had four touchdown passes, including a 76-yard scoring toss to Brycen D'Urso. Gabe Baskin (59 yards), Camden Santos (24) and Wyatt Carnevale (15) also had touchdown receptions. D'Urso added three interceptions on defense and Bedford had five as a team. Justin Fish caught a 16-yard touchdown pass from CJ Goss for South's first score. Jackson Brinley added a 12-yard scoring reception from Luke Graven in the fourth quarter. **No. 4 Londonderry 50, Timberlane 6** The Lancers opened the season with a big road win over the Owls. Sully Daron threw for two touchdowns, one each to Jackson Rao and Davis Magarian for Londonderry. Calan Murphy added a touchdown run and returned an interception for a score while Jake Santosuosso also ran for a score. Adrian Carrasquillo had Timberlane's lone touchdown on a 15-yard run in the first half. **Alvirne 16, Keene 6** Mason Ward had 39 yards and a touchdown on 14 carries, but it wasn't enough for the Blackbirds in the season-opener against the Broncos. Whitman Conboy added 26 yards on five carries while going 10 of 17 passing for 112 yards and an interception. ### *Division II* **Manchester West 9, Kennett 6 (OT)** Jason Blais kicked a 30-yard field in overtime to help the Blue Knights survive for a win over the Eagles in the teams' first meeting in 67 years. Kingston Green ran for 98 yards on 18 carries and Manny Mendoza was 6 of 14 passing for 55 yards with a touchdown and interception. Noah Sheedy had two catches for 32 yards and a touchdown and Xayden Ramos had 31 yards of offense. Ramos also had an interception on defense for West while Joell Camilo had 11 tackles, Green had nine tackles and Tyler Hale had eight. Bowen Brown was 9 for 20 for 75 yards with a touchdown and an interception for Kennett, with Marquis Twomey catching all nine passes, including a 15-yard touchdown catch with 20 seconds left that forced OT. Cooper Coleman had 70 yards on 15 carries while Nate Johnston had 15 tackles and Hunter Robitaille had 14 tackles. Nolan Needham and Twomey added 13 tackles apiece while Coleman had a fumble recovery and Anthoney St. Lawrence had an interception. It was the first time Kennett and West played in football since Sept. 12, 1959\. **ConVal 33, St. Thomas 31** Wetu Selby scored five rushing touchdowns, including a 43-yard run that proved to be the game winner with two minutes to go, to help the Cougars get the win over the Saints. Selby's five touchdowns broke the school record, which had been set in 1998 by current ConVal coach Brad Davis. Kurt Dean, Jr., played well at quarterback, connecting with Spencer Bishop to set up a couple of Selby's scores. Ayden Costi, Liam Kimble, Jason Guertin, Alistair Armstrong, Cayden Park, Lock Olesky, Ivan James and Dakoda Bruillete played well up front on the offensive line while Gabe Michaud came up big on defense at linebacker. St. Thomas got 115 yards rushing and a touchdown from Josh Kupka while Brady McDonald was 17 of 28 passing for 265 yards with two touchdowns and an intereption. He also ran for another score. Jack Brennan caught eight passes for 159 yads and a touchdown and Bailey White had seven catches for 97 yards and score. Garrett Jackson had 10 tackles for the Saints while White had eight, Ryan Jones had seven and Parker Hamel had six tackles, including one for loss. LJ Hydock was perfect on extra points for St. Thomas and also had a 21-yard field goal. **Pelham 21, Kingswood 0** The Pythons found the end zone early and then pulled away in the fourth quarter to get the road win over the Knights. Luke Draper ran for 122 yards and two touchdowns on 13 carries, including scoring runs for 27 and 57 yards. Ben Maslanek added 44 yards and a score on 11 carries while Kevin Clifton was 4 of 9 passing for 80 yards. Noah Johnson had three interceptions in the second half to help Pelham get the win. Dean Porter led Kingswood with 42 yards rushing on 12 carries while Nolan Chominski was 6 of 20 passing for 46 yards and had another 27 yards rushing. **Plymouth 18, Hanover 11** The Bears battled with the Bobcats but ultimately came up short in the opener for both teams. EJ Frechette was 9 of 18 passing for 89 yards and three interceptions for Hanover while Jack Richardson had 51 yards on offense and Peak Temple had four catches for 42 yards. Dima Petrov was 1 of 2 on field goals, hitting from 40 yards to go with a miss from 53\. Eli Gusitsch had an interception on defense while Richardson had nine tackles, two sacks and a fumble recovery and Temple had six tackles. *Results posted in the roundup have been submitted.
