Bright carried the ball five times for 94 yards and three scores, while Jain was 5 of 12 passing for 145 and three scores. Both did all of their damage in the first half for the Sabers (1-0) in their Division II opener. Connor Cassidy caught two passed for 54 yards and two touchdowns while Brayden Hickman also had two receptions for 64 yards and a touchdown. Grant Harris returned a fumble 12 yards for a score in the first quarter and Michael Fiengo added a 33-yard touchdown run in the third quarter to finish out the scoring. HDH (0-1) struggled to move the ball, getting 14 yards on the ground from Robert King. The Sabers outgained the Redhawks 360-49. **St. Thomas 20, Merrimack Valley 0** Michael Skowron and Owen Birch each had a touchdown to help lead the Saints (1-0) to a win over the Pride (o-1) in D2. Skowron ran in from a yard out midway through the second quarter to give St. Thomas a 7-0 lead. Birch capped a long drive to start the second half with a 5-yard run. Lucas Spinelli added field goals of 37 and 23 yards to put the game away from the Saints. ### Division I **Bedford 40, Bishop Guertin 3** Brody Helton ran for 209 yards and scored four touchdowns to lead the Bulldogs (1-0) to a season-opening win over the Cardinals. Alex Corriveau added a rushing touchdown and Jack Riso returned a fumble for a touchdown. Bedford ran for 330 yards as a team while Danny Black was 13 of 18 for 170 yards passing and an interception. Luke Soden caught five of those passes for 92 yards. **Portsmouth-Oyster River 40, Spaulding 6** Brooks Connors and Cole McLaughlin each ran for over a hundred yards and six players scored a touchdown as the ClippersCats (1-0) opened with a win over the Red Raiders (0-1). Connors finished with 129 yards on the ground and McLaughlin added 103 and a score, while Aidan Thomas had a rushing touchdown and threw scoring passes to Angus Moss and Emmanuel Poe. Dom Buono and Colby Gendey added touchdowns on the ground for POR. Kaiden Melendez led Spaulding with 179 yards passing and a touchdown, a 3-yard pass to Hunter Trueman, who finished with five catches for 69 yards. **Londonderry 41, Concord 14** Six players had a touchdown as the Lancers (1-0) rolled to a win at home against the Crimson Tide (0-1). Alex Villa had a 20-yard touchdown run and also connected with Seth Doyon for a 20-yard scoring pass while Sam Ogden (65) and Jake Schena (51) each had touchdown runs of over 50 yards. Carson Palma also had a rushing touchdown for Londonderry while Conor Williams and Matt Carroll connected for a 13-yard scoring pass for the Lancers' first touchdown of the night. Jackson Borkush and Elia Bahuma each had a touchdown on the ground for Concord. **Dover 35, Winnacunnet 0** Bryce Carberry and Ryder Aubin each had a pair of touchdowns to lead the Green Wave (1-0) to the shutout of the Warriors (0-1). Aubin finished the game with 79 yards rushing and was 4 of 12 for 53 yards passing. Carberry scored on a 1-yard touchdown run and returned an interception for a score. Brady McInnes also had a touchdown run for Dover. **Goffstown 33, Nashua South 20** The Grizzlies (1-0) got two touchdowns from Gavin Philbrook and the game-clinching interception to snap an 11-game losing streak in a win over the Panthers (0-1). Philbrook scored on a 9-yard touchdown run to start the scoring, returned the second-half kickoff 90 yards for a score and picked off a pass by South's Cody Jackson to end the Panthers' final drive. Jayden Pares added a rushing touchdown and connected with Jayden Hastings for a score and Will Patnaude also had a touchdown on the ground for Goffstown. Jackson threw two touchdown passes to Diego Cabrera and had a 6-yard touchdown run for South. ### Division III **Monadnock 20, Fall Mountain 18 (OT)** Kaden Smith scored on a two-point conversion in overtime to complete the Huskies' comeback win over the Wildcats. Chase Elliott scored the touchdown in overtime and had a 10-yard scoring run earlier in the game for Monadnock (1-0). Smith scored the game-tying touchdown with 1:14 left, but Elliott was stopped on the conversion to send it to OT. Eric Franklin threw three touchdown passes for Fall Mountain (0-1), two to Josh Devore. He connected with Charles Dussault for a 12-yard score in overtime to put the Wildcats ahead on their possession.
