White scored from a yard out with 9:07 remaining to put the Generals (1-0) in front for the first time while Dykstra scored on the ground and in the air in the third quarter to help spark the comeback in the Division II opener for both teams.
John Stark trailed 27-6 after Milford's Cade Cloutier scored his third touchdown on the opening drive of the second half. But the Generals answered with a seven-play, 64-yard drive, highlighted by a 30-yard run by Dykstra.
Two plays later, he scored from 8 yards out and Weston Haartz added the conversion to make it 27-14. After a three-and-out by the Spartans (0-1), Dykstra connected with Joseph Antognoni for a 36-yard touchdown, with Haartz adding the conversion to make it a five-point game.
The Spartans returned the kickoff to midfield, but the offense stalled, and Milford turned the ball over on downs at its own 47. Seven plays later, White jumped over the line and into the end zone to complete the John Stark comeback.
Cloutier had rushing touchdowns in the first and second quarter, giving Milford a 14-0 lead. White answered the second score with a 66-yard touchdown run, but Braedyn Mellen's 40-yard fumble return for a touchdown gave the Spartans a 20-6 lead going into halftime.
Plymouth 42, Pembroke 7
The Bobcats broke open a tie game with a 21-point second quarter and rolled to the season-opening win over the Spartans.
Ben Valente ran for two touchdowns and Luke Diamond and Jaxon Rineer connected for two more through the air, as Plymouth took a 28-7 lead into halftime and cruised to the win.
Joe Fitzgerald found Treyvon Cannon for a 25-yard touchdown in the first quarter for Pembroke, which tied the game at 7. Diamond and Rineer hooked up for a 28-yard score to open the second and give Plymouth the lead.
The Spartans looked to respond, driving down to the Bobcats' 25-yard line, but the drive stalled and Plymouth pulled away.
Robbie Thorne and Tristan Patridge each had rushing touchdowns for the Bobcats in the second half.
Division I
Alvirne 45, Manchester Central 7
Aiden Mills ran for two touchdowns as the Broncos pulled away in the second half for the win.
Mills had scoring runs of 14 and 21 yards, while Charlie Crawford had a touchdown run and connected with Cole Dionne for a 25-yard score.
The Broncos (1-0) led 14-0 at halftime and the Little Green (0-1) cut the lead in half early in the third quarter, but Alvirne pulled away late in the third.
Quintin Tetreault blocked punt and Jeremiah Yi returned it for a score while Shawn Boudreau kicked a 28-yard field goal. Ethan Dudley added a touchdown run to cap the scoring.
