# Football rankings for Sept. 26

To the victors go the spoils, and so far this season, the Bedford High School football team has continued to win games against the toughest competition.

That's why the Bulldogs are at the top of the rankings for the second week in a row, following last Saturday's 21-7 win over Goffstown. But not far behind this week is Salem, which jumped up from fourth to second, after losses by the Grizzlies and Bishop Guertin. Exeter also moved up two spots to No. 3, as did Windham to No. 4 and Plymouth to No. 5.

There are 10 undefeated teams left in the state - three in Division I, four in Division II and three in Division III - and all of them are among this week's top 15 teams. Here are this week’s statewide rankings and the rankings for each division.

### How the rankings are done

We took the NHIAA’s football rating system, and gave it a little tweak. Instead of 10 points for a win, we weighted the wins by division, giving 12 for a win over a D1 team, 10 for a win over D2 and eight for a win over D3\. Plus, every team got two points for a win by a beaten opponent. The two point totals were added together and divided by the number of games played.
