Football playoff picture gets a little clearer

The postseason field for high school football got a little bit clearer Friday night. Here's how it looks going into the final day of the regular season.

Division I

What we know

• Exeter (7-2) will host Portsmouth (6-3) in the East Conference championship game.
• Pinkerton (9-0) will host Londonderry (8-1) in the South Conference championship game.
• Bedford (9-0) is hosting the North Conference championship game, opponent still to be determined.
• Bishop Guertin (4-5) will host Alvirne (4-5) in the West Conference championship game.

Left to be determined

• The final postseason spot in Division I comes down to the Manchester Memorial-Goffstown game Saturday. A Memorial (5-3) win puts the Crusaders into the North Conference game against Bedford, while a loss means Concord (6-3) gets to take on the Bulldogs in the conference championship game.

Division II

What we know

• St. Thomas (6-1) will host Merrimack Valley (4-3) in the East Conference championship game, regardless of what either does in its finale on Saturday.
• Kennett (8-0) will host Keasarge (5-3) in the North Conference championship game.
• Windham (7-0) is hosting the South Conference championship game, opponent still to be determined.
• Sanborn (4-3) and Hollis Brookline (4-4) will play in the West Conference championship game, site to be determined.

Left to be determined

• If Sanborn beats John Stark (2-5) on Saturday, it would host HB in the conference title game. A Sanborn loss could mean that HB ends up hosting the game instead.
• If Trinity (5-2) beats St. Thomas on Saturday, it would be in the South Conference game at Windham. If Trinity loses, it opens the door for Milford. A loss by the Pioneers, combined with a win by Plymouth (over Hanover) and/or John Stark would give Milford the spot opposite Windham. Despite its win over Pelham on Friday, Souhegan was eliminated from the postseason when Lebanon defeated ConVal.

Division III

What we know

• The teams in the South Conference are set: Bow (7-0), Somersworth (6-1), Campbell (6-2) and Bishop Brady (5-3). Campbell and Brady will be the third and fourth seeds, respectively.
• In the North, Newport (6-1), Gilford (7-1) and Inter-Lakes-Moultonborough (4-3) are in.

Left to be determined

• The winner of Saturday's Somersworth-Bow game will be the No. 1 seed in the South and will host Bishop Brady. The loser is the No. 2 seed and will host Campbell.
• If Newport beats Newfound (0-7), it will the No. 1 seed in the North. If Newport loses, Gilford is the No. 1 seed.
• If ILM beats Franklin (3-4), it will be the No. 3 seed and Mascoma Valley (4-4) will be fourth. If Franklin wins, it gets the No. 3 seed and ILM is fourth, while Mascoma would be eliminated.
