# Five Cardinals land on Division II football first team

Five members of the Bishop Guertin High School football team were named to the Division II all-state first team, but the Cardinals didn't have the most.

Winnacunnet landed eight players on the first team, while Dover had seven players receive the [division's highest honor](http://unionleader.com/blogs/Chains/?ref=nh-highschoolsports.com). In all, the Warriors and the Cardinals had 15 players each receive all-state honors, while Merrimack had 12 players named all-state, including three first-teamers, and Alvirne had three players make all-state.

Following are the first team offense and defense, by team.

### First Team Offense

**Bishop Guertin:** Steve Cuipa, Dan Folger. **Merrimack:** Brody Williams. **Winnacunnet:** Steve Cronan, Mike Trainor, Matt Sullivan, Sean Dolan, Mark Lariviere, Ben Fee. **Dover:** Corey MacKoul, Ian Seawards, Eric Miller, Don Morse. **Keene:** Jimmy Boulay, Matt Ammann, Taylor Russell. **Timberlane:** Nick Lawrence.

### First Team Defense

**Bishop Guertin:** Jimmy Kemos, Jim Carver, Brody Smith. **Merrimack:** Jimmy Bigwood, Tyler Baulier. **Alvirne:** Jon Baldwin. **Winnacunnet:** Mike Sullivan, Spencer Cutting. **Dover:** Nick Corbett, Kyle Wilson, Matt Brown. **Timberlane:** Dan Diodati, Jarred Diorio, Nate Lawrence. **Keene:** Tyler Slanetz. **Spaulding:** Shawn Ham. **Manchester West:** Aaron Martin.
