Finalists: Queen of New Hampshire High School Basketball, 2014

Here are the six finalists for the second Queen of New Hampshire High School Basketball.

Bishop Guertin's Jamie Sherburne is one of six finalists for this year's Queen of New Hampshire High School Basketball.

Here are the finalists for the third Queen of New Hampshire High School Basketball. All are worthy candidates for the crown, but only one will win. To find out who it is, tune in to the New Hampshire High School Sports Show on WGIR AM 610 and 96.7 “The Wave," starting at 8 a.m. on Saturday.

Skylar Bonnett, Hinsdale

A four-year varsity player for the Pacers, Bonnett helped lead Hinsdale to the Division IV championship this season - the school's first girls title - after getting the team to the semifinals in each of the previous years. In those three seasons, Hinsdale was a combined 51-3 in the regular season. This season Bonnett averaged around 15 points a game with six steals and six assists and was the D4 Player of the Year.

"It was special," said Terry Bonnette, Hinsdale's coach and Skylar's father. "We had four seniors all knocking on the door for three years. Skylar has really developed into a point guard. She distributes the ball. She looks for her own offense, but this year, she's distributing more and she's really developed."

McKenzie Brown, Bedford

A member of the Division I first-team, Brown helped lead Bedford to back-to-back division championship games, including the school's first title in 2013. In Bedford's semifinal win over Nashua North, Brown had 13 points and a team-high eight rebounds, and in the Bulldogs' loss to Londonderry in the title game, Brown had another 13 points, which led the team.

Haley Driscoll, Bedford

Driscoll was a three-year starter for the Bulldogs, making the Division I first team as a junior and the second team this season. The senior had 12 points and grabbed eight boards in the semifinal win over Nashua North. She also scored the game-winning basket in Bedford's championship victory over Bishop Guertin 2013.

Mayson Kimball, Merrimack Valley

The lone underclassman among the finalists, Kimball helped lead the Pride to their first championship as a sophomore. During the regular season, Kimball averaged 15 points and 11 rebounds per game, and those averages jumped to 22.8 and 13, respectively, in the postseason. And Kimball did all that while playing out of position as a center. Head coach Dave Huckins expects to use her as a guard/forward next season.

Jamie Sherburne, Bishop Guertin

The leader of a young team, Sherburne helped the Cardinals finish 14-4 in the regular season and get the No. 3 seed for the playoffs. A three-year starter, she eclipsed the 1,000-point mark during her senior year. Sherburne will continue playing at Niagara University.

Aliza Simpson, Londonderry

Simpson's season had the kind of finish every senior dreams about. Despite missing eight games midseason due to an injury, the Lancers point guard averaged 18.2 points, 8.4 assists, 6.6 rebounds and 5.6 steals per game and had in the championship game win over Bedford, Simpson had 16 points, two rebounds, three steals and six assists. The future University of New Hampshire guard has already been named the Division I Player of the Year, the NHCBO Ms. New Hampshire Basketball and the Gatorade New Hampshire Player of the Year.

"Aliza Simpson controls every game and takes over games when needed," said Manchester Central coach Mike Wenners in the Gatorade press release.
