Finalists: King of New Hampshire High School Basketball, 2014

Here are the six finalists for the third King of New Hampshire High School Basketball.

Manchester Central's Jon Martin is one of six finalists for the King of New Hampshire High School Basketball.

Here are the finalists for the third King of New Hampshire High School Basketball. All are worthy candidates for the crown, but only one will win. To find out who it is, tune in to the New Hampshire High School Sports Show on WGIR AM 610 and 96.7 “The Wave," starting at 8 a.m. on Saturday.

Eric Gendron, Merrimack

A senior, Gendron helped lead the Tomahawks to the Division I championship twice during his high school career, winning in 2012 and finishing second in 2014. The guard topped 1,000 points for his career this season and finished with over 1,300, just the seventh Merrimack player to reach that milestone. In the championship game loss to Manchester Central, Gendron scored a game-high 32 points. Last year's Gatorade New Hampshire Player of the Year, Gendron was named the Division I Player of the Year and the NHBCO's Mr. Basketball this year.

Carmen Giampetruzzi, Trinity

A Division I first-teamer and the winner of the Jack Ford Award, the senior eclipsed the 1,000-point mark during this season, as he helped the Pioneers to a 17-1 record in the regular season and a trip to the semifinals. Giampetruzzi, led Trinity with 17.7 points per game in the regular season.

Jon Martin, Manchester Central

Martin was a surprise this season, having moved back to New Hampshire before the start of the school year. He helped lead the Little Green to a 25-0 record and the program's first Division I championship in eight years, averaging 15.7 points per game. Martin was also named to the Division I first team.

Trevon Maughn, Manchester Memorial

As a a junior Maughn helped the Crusaders play the role of Cinderella in the Division I tournament, as they upset Bishop Guertin and Londonderry to reach the semifinals. Maughn led Division I in scoring average, putting up 23.5 points per game, and in Memorial's double overtime loss to Central in the final four, he had 30 points on 11 of 17 shooting.

Jimmy Stanley, Epping

Stanley helped lead Epping to its first championship in 22 years, as the Blue Devils defeated Sunapee in the Division IV championship game. The senior averaged 21.7 points a game during the regular season, and was at his best in the playoffs, scoring 20 in the semifinal win over Littleton and another 26 against Sunapee in the final. He was also named to the division first team.

Patrick Welch, Pembroke

Welch was the leading scorer in Division II this year, putting up 23 points per game as the Spartans won their second straight championship. The senior was named the division Player of the Year and came up just short of scoring 2,000 points for his career.
