There’s plenty of playoff positioning to be done heading into the last week of the regular season In New Hampshire field hockey.

Some key wins - and losses - last week gives this week plenty of meaning to several teams across the top two divisions.

Pinkerton, Winnacunnet and Timberlane all look solid. The Owls fell to the Astros earlier in the week for Pinkerton to take the leap to the No. 1 seed in Division I, but all three will be top seeds in the postseason.

Bishop Guertin lost its second tough game, falling to Timberlane last week, and now has two losses on its schedule.

After it looked like Dover was ready to make a big push, the Green Wave suffered two defeats to playoff hopefuls Londonderry and Merrimack.

Londonderry suffered a tough loss to Keene, but other than that, won two important games against Dover and Manchester Central to keep hopes alive with a 6-5 record. The Lancers have three winnable games this week, and should be in.

After a two-game losing streak a week and a half ago, Manchester Central seems to have finally found itself with victories over Merrimack and Nashua South. However, the Little Green have difficult tests against Salem, Timberlane and Winnacunnet this week.

Merrimack had a four game winless streak before winning 1-0 over Dover. The Tomahawks should be in with two winnable games this week.

Salem being shut out for two in a row to Winnacunnet and Bishop Guertin have them in a tough spot. Manchester Central and Dover on the docket won’t be easy this week, either.

## Division II

Derryfield has been at the top all season long, but two tough games against Kennett and Windham this week could affect seeding drastically.

Goffstown has a chance with two winnable games to earn a higher seed this week and Hanover has one tough game against Kennett, but should be in.

That means, Kennett has two tough contests against Derryfield and Hanover could drastically change where the Eagles' seeding falls.

Kingswood has quietly earned itself what might be a top three finish in Division II if the cards fall the Knights' way. Portsmouth has quietly gone on a four-game winning streak to increase position.

Souhegan has two games it can win this week, and with just one loss, could be the top seed. A Windham loss to Derryfield this week would secure that top spot for the Sabers.

On the bubble are 5-5-1 Milford and Plymouth, who has won three in a row, while Sanborn at 6-5-1 should be in a good position.
