HAMPTON - With only a handful of events to go at Sunday's Division I track championship, the Pinkerton Academy boys were a distant third, trailing Bedford and Nashua North.

That didn't last long, as the Astros took the top three spots in the 3,200-meter run to vault into first place and a win by

Isaiah Backels in the pole vault and a win by the 4x400 relay team cemented Pinkerton's championship. Bedford took second and North came in third.
