Cross Country: LaCoste wins Division I boys title

LaCoste finished the race in 15 minutes, 31 seconds to beat Manchester Central's Samuel Gagnon by 20 seconds. Also finishing in the top 10 were Merrimack's Jhn Conlin (sixth), Nashua North's Spencer Nelson (seventh), Alvirne's Caleb Donnelly (ninth) and Brandon Latham of Bishop Guertin (10th).
On the season, LaCoste has finished first in every race he's participated in, and his time on Saturday was 20 seconds faster than his previous best at Derryfield Park.
Manchester Central finished first overall on the boys side, while Pinkerton was second and Londonderry took third. Concord finished fifth, while Merrimack came in eighth and Nashua North finished ninth.
Bishop Guertin's Molly McCabe was the top local finisher on the girls side, coming in fifth overall in 19:39. The Cardinals finished second as a team, coming in 11 points behind Manchester Central.
Lauren Calvino of Merrimack also finished in the top, placing ninth.
Keene finished third as a team in the girls race, while Pinkerton took fourth and Exeter finished fifth. Merrimack came in seventh.
Division II
Bedford's Sam Daly was the top local finisher in the Division II boys race, coming in fourth in 16:31. Souhegan's Tanner Kent was the next local runner, finishing 13th.
Oyster River finished first as a team, followed by Coe-Brown and Souhegan. Hanover came in fourth while Bedford finished fifth. Hollis/Brookline took ninth and Milford was 11th.
Milford's Courtney Hawkins came in second in the girls race, finishing in 18:42. H/B's Meghan Philpot was ninth and teammate Kate Stopera came in 12th. Souhegan's Pia Marciano took 10th while Csilla Va'mos was 13th for the Sabers.
Coe-Brown took first overall while Hanover finished second and Souhegan took third. Bedford came in fourth and Oyster River was fifth. H/B finished sixth.
Division III
Hopkinton's Fabian Stocek won the Division III boys race with a time of 16:51. As a team, Hopkinton was second behind Bow, while Berlin took third. Fall Mountain finished fourth and Kearsarge came in fifth.
Kylie McCoy of Portsmouth Christian won the girls race in 18:16 while Mascenic's Jacy Christiansen was second.
