ConVal football picks up win over Kingswood

Dan Spezzaferri tossed three touchdown passes and ran for two more to lead the ConVal High School football team to a 56-12 win over Kingswood on Friday.

The Cougars junior quarterback completed 12 passes for 219 yards and rushed for another 76 yards on 11 carries. Isaac Bacon had seven catches for 155 yards and three touchdowns and Danny Parker rushed for 113 yards and a score.

Dan Curran led ConVal (2-1) on defense with 12 tackles, including 5 1/2 for loss, while Liam Baldwin had an interception. Ian LaBelle and Andrew Stockwell also played well defensively.

ConVal travels to face Sanborn for a 1 p.m. kickoff on Sept. 24.
