The Hollis/Brookline High School girls lacrosse team handed Kearsarge Regional its first loss of the season on Thursday in a rematch of last year's Division III championship game.
Despite trailing early, the Cavaliers crushed the Cougars, 18-2, to remain unbeaten on the year and hand Kearsarge its first loss of the season.
Jenn Naylor and Annabelle Eliopoulus had three goals each while Alicia Papineau had two goals and two assists. Julie Worthen also had two goals and Kati Sousa had a goal and two assists.
Hanna Mazzola and Katie O'Hara had a goal and an assist each while Nina Hawxhurst had a goal and Missy Putur, Emily Lombardi and Emily Dutile each had an assist
Lorin Field made four saves in goal and Erin Turner made two. The defense of Putur, Leigh Kowalski, Kelli Johnson, Dani Parnell, Hannah James and Emily Mandragouras held Kearsarge's offense, which had scored 99 goals in six games this season, to just two scores.
The Cavs (5-0) play at Oyster River on Friday.
