Cardinals start season with sweep of Little Green
The Bishop Guertin High School girls volleyball team knocked off Manchester Central, 3-0, in the Division I opener for both teams Tuesday. The Cardinals won by scores of 25-11, 25-10 and 25-20.

Nicole Pettiglio had five kills for the Cards (1-0) and Holly Zaharchuk added five kills and three blocks. Rebecca Noyes chipped in with 17 assists and five aces.
Bishop Guertin returns to action Friday when it hosts Nashua North.
