# Bracketology: Division I girls basketball (Jan. 27)

It’s a little more than four weeks until the start of the girls basketball postseason in New Hampshire, so here is a look at where each team stands and who is in and who is out in Division I.

These will be updated each week for Sports Insider Members. To signup for a membership, click on the register button below.

*Note: With the NHIAA’s new 70-percent rule in place for the postseason, Division I girls basketball will have 12 playoff teams. Standings based off results reported to NHIAA.org and other media outlets.*

### Division I

**Playoff field**

1. Bedford (10-1, 3.6364). Last week: No. 2.
2. Bishop Guertin (9-1, 3.6000). Last week: No. 3.
3. Alvirne (8-1, 3.5556). Last week: No. 1.
4. Pinkerton (7-1, 3.5000). Last week: No. 4.
5. Londonderry (6-3, 2.6667). Last week: No. 5.
6. Nashua North (6-5, 2.1818). Last week: No. 7.
7. Winnacunnet (6-6, 2.0000). Last week: No. 8.
8. Merrimack (5-5, 2.0000). Last week: No. 9.
9. Trinity (4-5, 1.7778). Last week: No. 6.
10. Manchester Central (4-5, 1.7778). Last week: No. 12.
11. Dover (4-5, 1.7778). Last week: No. 10.
12. Manchester Memorial (4-5, 1.7778). Last week: out.

**Outside:** Salem (4-6, 1.6000); Exeter (4-6, 1.6000); Concord (2-6, 1.0000); Keene (2-6, 1.0000); Nashua South (2-9, 0.7273); Spaulding (0-10, 0.0000).

**Rising:** Manchester Memorial picked up a pair of wins last week to move back into the playoff field.

**Falling:** After winning four in a row, Trinity has dropped its last three games, and that streak could stretch to five as the Pioneers face Bishop Guertin (9-1) and Alvirne (8-1) next.

**Tiebreaker**

- Winnacunnet wins the tiebreaker with Merrimack thanks to a abetter rating against tournament teams.
- Trinity wins the three-way tiebreaker with Dover and Manchester Memorial thanks to a better rating against tournament teams. Memorial then wins the tiebreaker with Dover thanks to a head-to-head victory.

**First-round byes**

- No. 1 Bedford
