# Bracketology: Division I girls basketball (Feb. 3)

It’s a little more than three weeks until the start of the girls basketball postseason in New Hampshire, so here is a look at where each team stands and who is in and who is out in Division I.

*Note: With the NHIAA’s new 70-percent rule in place for the postseason, Division I girls basketball will have 12 playoff teams. Standings based off results reported to NHIAA.org and other media outlets.*

### Division I

**Playoff field**

**Tiebreakers**

- Alvirne wins the three-way tiebreaker with Pinkerton and Bishop Guertin thanks to a better rating against tournament teams. Pinkerton then wins the tiebreaker over Bishop Guertin, also for a better rating against tournament teams.
- Manchester Memorial wins the three-way tiebreaker with Merrimack and Dover thanks to a better rating against tournament teams. Merrimack then wins the tiebreaker with Dover thanks to a better quality of wins against tournament teams.
- Manchester Central wins the three-way tiebreaker with Trinity and Keene for the final spot thanks to a better rating against tournament teams.

**Rising:** Keene started off the year with five straight losses, but the Blackbirds have won four of their last six to pull into a tie for the final playoff spot.

**Falling:** After opening the year 3-1, Merrimack has dropped five of its last seven games going into Friday's game at Nashua South.

**First-round byes**

- No. 1 Bedford
