# Bracketology: Division I boys basketball (Jan. 20)

It’s a little more than seven weeks until the start of the boys basketball postseason in New Hampshire, so here is a look at where each team stands and who is in and who is out in Division I.

*Note: With the NHIAA’s new 70-percent rule in place for the postseason, Division I boys basketball will have 13 playoff teams. Standings based off results reported to NHIAA.org and other media outlets.*

### Division I

**Tiebreakers**

- Bedford wins the three-way tiebreaker with Alvirne and Exeter thanks to a better rating against tournament teams. Exeter then holds the tiebreaker with Alvirne thanks to a better rating against tournament teams.
- Londonderry wins the tiebreaker over Nashua South thanks to a better quality of wins against tournament teams.
- Manchester Memorial wins the tiebreaker over Bishop Guertin thanks to a better rating against tournament teams.

**First-round byes**

- No. 1 Portsmouth
- No. 2 Merrimack
- No. 3 Bedford

**First-round matchups**

- No. 9 Londonderry at No. 8 Winnacunnet
