Bishop Guertin girls volleyball advances with win over Bedford

The No. 5 Bishop Guertin High School girls volleyball team moved on the Division I playoffs with a 3-1 win over No. 12 Bedford on Wednesday. Game scores were 25-19, 22-25, 25-19 and 27-25.

Jill Rabasco led the Cardinals (15-4) with 16 kills and five aces and Jenna McCormack added 38 assists, 15 digs and seven aces. Meagan Morelli had 12 kills and 18 digs while Margaret Richardson chipped in six blocks and five kills and Mariana Gomez had 22 digs and three aces.

Bishop Guertin will face No. 4 Hollis Brookline the quarterfinals on Saturday at 6 p.m. in Hollis.
