Bishop Guertin girls lacrosse builds lead, holds on to beat Bedford

NASHUA - The Bishop Guertin High School girls lacrosse team started fast Thursday night and held on for a 12-7 win over Bedford.

Bryn Carroll led the Cardinals (13-2) with six goals, all in the first half, as Bishop Guertin got out to a 9-3 lead at halftime.

Kyra Lowenberg and Olivia Koutsos each added two goals for the Cardinals, who were able to control possession for long stretches in both halves. Also scoring for Bishop Guertin were Caroline Boudreau and Kristin Cameron, while Lauren Trepaney made eight saves.

Bedford (9-5) got two goals each from Kennedy Boyle and Kelsey Linehan while Zoey Shapiro had a goal and two assists.

Kathryn Lesch had a goal and an assists and Kristen Barnett also scored while Sierra Soghikian made 12 saves.
