Bishop Guertin girls lacrosse advances to D1 semifinals with win over Bedford

NASHUA - Bryn Carroll scored all five of her goals in the first half as the No. 3 Bishop Guertin High School girls lacrosse team overcame a slow start Wednesday to beat No. 6 Bedford 12-6 in the Division I quarterfinals.

NASHUA - Bryn Carroll scored all five of her goals in the first half as the No. 3 Bishop Guertin High School girls lacrosse team overcame a slow start Wednesday to beat No. 6 Bedford 12-6 in the Division I quarterfinals.

All of Carroll's goals came during an 8-0 run for the Cardinals that erased a 3-0 lead Bedford had built in the game's first three minutes. Kristin Cameron added two goals and an assist for Bishop Guertin (15-3), which advances to the semifinals at 6 p.m. on Saturday, where it will face No. 2 Pinkerton.

Kennedy Boyle had three goals to lead the Bulldogs (10-7), who saw their season come to an end one year after winning the Division II championship.
