Bishop Guertin field hockey opens with tie against Londonderry

Katie Lupo scored with a little more than four minutes left to help the Bishop Guertin High School girls field hockey team tie Londonderry 1-1 on Tuesday.

Lupo scored off an assist from Bonnie Gillis as the Cardinals and Lancers opened the Division I season in Londonderry.

Londonderry's Olivia Palumbo opened the scoring with a goal midway through the second half. Lancers goalie Danielle Ziv finished with 12 saves.

Greta Reilly made eight saves for Bishop Guertin while Kate Bradford, Olivia Koutsos and Priscilla Bibeau helped create some overtime opportunities.
