BG's Kelly to UNH, others still undecided

Despite playing one game and one quarter of high school football this season, Bishop Guertin's Mike Kelly will continue his career at the University of New Hampshire.

Kelly, who suffered a foot injury in the Cardinals' second game of the season, signed a letter of intent with the Wildcats on Wednesday, the earliest incoming players are allowed to sign. Other schools from the Patriot League and the Colonial Athletic Association had been interested in Kelly before his injury, but backed off afterward.

One of 14 recruits signed by the Wildcats on Wednesday, Kelly is listed as a defensive back and wide receiver.

Two Nashua South players are still deciding where they will go next season, as quarterback Keith Farkas is considering a handful of schools, as is lineman Ian Parsons.

In other recruiting news, two area basketball players have made a decision about where they will continue their playing careers.

South's Caitlin Ackerman will head to Assumption College in Worcester, while Milford's Mike Mitchell plans to play at SUNY Plattsburgh.
