BG hands North fourth straight loss

The Bishop Guertin High School boys basketball team opened up a double-digit lead in the first quarter and held off Nashua North in a 73-54 win Friday night.

Connor Green led the Cardinals with 15 points, eight of which came in the first 1:14 of the game, as Bishop Guertin (12-2) win its eighth in a row. Nick Pyzocha and Sean McClung each had 11 points in the win.

North (6-8) lost its fourth straight and has dropped five of its last six since Javon Williams and Ryan Gauthier were ruled academically ineligible.

Liam Burke led the Titans with 12 points, while Mike O’Connor added 11.
