Bedford hockey opens season with win over Somersworth/Coe-Brown

GOFFSTOWN - The 2013-14 hockey season started the same way last year ended for Bedford High School - with a win.

The Bulldogs raised their second consecutive Division II championship banner Monday night at Sullivan Arena and then opened the new season with a 7-0 win over Somersworth/Coe-Brown.

Bedford scored three goals in the first period, and added four more in the second, including a flurry of scores midway through the period, to pick up the division win.
