# Bedford girls lacrosse holds off Merrimack

BEDFORD - Kelsey Linehan had four goals and five assists Wednesday and the Bedford High School girls lacrosse team was able to keep Merrimack in check in the final 12 minutes to win 14-11.

The Bulldogs (7-4) also got four goals and a helper from Kathryn Lesch while Kennedy Boyle had two goals and two assists. Bedford led throughout the second half, but Merrimack (6-4) pulled to within a goal three times, including 12-11 with 12:40 left in the game.

Bedford scored twice in that final stretch and goalie Sierra Soghikian came up with a handful of saves to keep the Tomahawks off the board.

Also scoring for the Bulldogs were Mackenzie Chou, who had two goals, and Madison Speaker.

Merrimack got five goals from Maegan Howe while Callie Dwyer scored three goals and Julia Perry had two. Samantha Anderson also scored for the Tomahawks, who had a three-game winning streak snapped.
